Fallout Equestria mouth grip concept by f1r3w4rr10r Fallout Equestria mouth grip concept by f1r3w4rr10r
A little shaded version on the general design idea of mouth grips in Fallout: Equestria.
The design is uniformly used on all weapons and control bits on battle saddles.
For further concept ideas on wepon handling in general on my part, look here: [link]

I always imagined the actual mechanism being centered right behind the weapon. Seems like this one would need some way to offset the recoil, not to mention the weight of the gun, its self, otherwise a revolver or even a heavy duty pistol would snap a pony's neck witht eh recoil, or at least rip some teeth out. I suppose it could use some sort of magical dampeners or something...  Presumably the trigger is worked with the tongue. Must be a lightweight pull. How would one use the iron sights on a weapon like this?

I dont believe its ever explained in the story, do rifle-grip weapons like shotguns and assault rifles use the same sort of mouthgrip? I know heavier weapons use battlesaddles but Pip gets a shotgun in chapter...2 I think, and doesnt even HEAR about battlesaddles till she meets Calamity. If they did use the same mechanism itd be reeeeally awkward.

I guess thats the great thing about designing something for ponies, you can explain a lot of things away with "its magic" XD

Well, she uses most of the weapons with levitation herself.
This design is fairly old and I actually agree with a centered mouth grip by now.

I am in fact working with a team to make a game out of this fanfic by now and it's the same question our designers have been pondering, trust me. ^^

Hmm in theory it looks like it might work though i would think it would be easy to accidentally press the eject magazine trigger. XD wouldn't be to much fun during a fire fite but i would guess with use it could work if you had practice.

Looks plausible enough, although the mag release doesn't necessarily have to be on the bit. It's just a button on most real weapons anyway so that just tapping it with a hoof in passing is easy enough while reloading.

Placing it there on the bit adds unnecessary complexity to an already complex engineering issue.

But hey, its a cartoon after all, and this looks amazing as it is.
